Today, under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) participated in a major tree planting exercise in Embu County. This event is part of a countrywide initiative inspired by the President’s vision to grow 15 billion trees by 2030, aiming to combat climate change, restore degraded landscapes, and enhance Kenya’s environmental resilience. KDC staff, alongside local community members and other stakeholders, worked together to plant thousands of seedlings, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

By joining hands with Kenyans across the nation, KDC is reinforcing the government’s call for collective action in addressing deforestation and promoting green growth. The initiative not only supports national reforestation goals but also contributes to creating green jobs and improving local livelihoods. As the tree planting campaign continues, KDC and MITI remain dedicated to fostering a greener, healthier future for Embu County and the entire country.
